She was predeceased by : her parents, Herbert A. Hanscom Jr. and Flora Hanscom (Purington); her husband Michael Ashmore; her nephew Josh Hanscom; and her niece Jessika Guptill.

She is survived by : her son Mark Roy; her siblings, Donald Hanscom (Debra) and Debbie Guptill (Lyle); and her nieces and nephews, Joe Hanscom (Amanada), Erika Netzorg (Ken), Monika Guptill, Erik Guptill (Erin), Dante Zanoni, Cynthia (Andy), Albert (Debbie) and Eugene (Julie).
