He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Finlay and Lillian Finlay; and his sister Emily Dean (Edwin Dean). He is survived by: his spouse Gail Finlay; his sons, John Finlay (Pismai Finlay) and David Finlay; his grandchildren, Alexander Finlay, Jordan Finlay and Pilaiwan Abad; his great grandchild Thomas Anthony Finlay; and his brother David Finlay (Jane Finlay).
