He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Helstrom and Viola Helstrom (McBreairty); and his brother Sterling Helstrom. He is survived by: his girlfriend Suzanne Moreau; his children, Dwight Helstrom, Jr. (Stephanie) of Hudson and Vicki Kirby (Blake) of Caribou; his grandchildren, Kasey Helstrom of Fredericton, N. B., Sara Eatherton (Matt) of Presque Isle, Carl Helstrom of Milford and Anna Helstrom of Old Town; his great grandchildren, Gage, Raynglei, Emma, Eli and Ellen Helstrom; his girlfriend's children, Chris Moreau and James Moreau; and his daughter Lila.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (78 Blackstone Rd, Perham, ME 04769).
In lieu of flowers those who wish to remember Dwight in a special way may make gifts in his memory payable to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, a charity which was very close to his heart.
