He is survived by: his grandson Adam Akeley (Mia) of Mapleton; his great grandchildren, Logan, Gavin Akeley and Alya Akeley; his sisters, Judy, Patty, Linda, Jeanie and Susan; his siblings-in-law, Richard Dow, Darrell Dow and Maureen Keirstead; his great-nephew Derek Brown; and his close friend Quintin.
