She was predeceased by: her parents, William Canwell and Isabel Canwell (Brown); her husband William; and her siblings, John, Richard, Maurice Canwell and Virginia Buotte.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Ellen Harrison (Thomas) of Mexico, Lesa Nadeau (Paul) of Windham, Scott W. Murphy and Maynard Murphy, Jr. (Deborah) of Cape Elizabeth; her stepchildren, Lynda Derouche of West Peru, Cynthia Proctor, William Freeman, II (Mary Ellen) of Peru, Gregory Freeman (Cynthia) of Peru and Andrew Freeman (Brenda) of Peru; her daughters, Brenda Murphy of Mexico and Flo Murphy of Stratton; her grandchildren, Rebekah Bedell, Brandon Bedell, Carole Murphy, Caitlin Murphy, Michael Nadeau, Steven Nadeau and Meghan Murphy; and her brothers, Tim and Randy Canwell. She is also survived by one great-grandchild and several step grandchildren.
