With solemn reverence, we commemorate Peter Joseph Zanoni of Mexico, Maine, born in Rumford, Maine, whose life came to an end on July 11, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Charest and Esther Zanoni. He is survived by: his wife Rita Zanoni (Puiia) of Mexico; his children, Paul Zanoni of Kingsport, Tennessee, Maria Valverde (Zanoni) of Grafton, Massachusetts, Philip Zanoni of Jacksonville, Florida, Peter Zanoni of Corpus Christi, Texas, Dante Zanoni of Lubec, Maine, Carlo Zanoni of Lewiston and Elisa Zanoni of Rumford, Maine.; and his brother Russell Goff of Hampstead. He is also survived by 18 granchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Athanasius & St. John Church (126 Maine Ave, Rumford, ME 04276). A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St John Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Peter's honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (http://www.stjude.org) or to your own favorite charity or organization.
