It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald E. Whitley of Millinocket, Maine, born in Newport, Maine, who passed away on March 17, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Charlotte Whitley (Mundell); his daughter-in-law Nancy Lehtola; and his siblings, Herbert Whitley Jr., Norman Whitley, Paul Whitley and Joan Howard.

He is survived by : his children, Duane Lehtola (Suann Lamprey), Daryl Lehtola (Gale), Charyl Strew and Mark Lehtola; and his sister Faye Willey. He is also survived by his brother in Christ John Thornton; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
