He was predeceased by : his parents, Lucie Cyr and Jean Cyr; his siblings, Anne Gorey, Gertrude Cyr, Raymond, Edward, Claude, Lionel and Walter Cyr; his wife Rosalie Barry; and his daughter-in-law Margaret Kimball.

He is survived by : his sons, Michael (Karen), James, John and Joey (Angela); and his grandchildren, Andrew Cyr (Michelle), Matthew Cyr (Melissa), Corey Cyr (Amy), Shawn Cyr (Tasha), Elizabeth Cyr (Stephen), Nicholas Cyr (Lauren), Heather Cyr and Emily Cyr.
