He was predeceased by: his parents, Otho Knowles and Mona Knowles Sr. (Barrett) of Wilton. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Geoffrey W. Knowles (L.) of Bass Harbor, Dr. Peter J. Knowles (Brenda B.) of Machias, Calais, Jennifer K. Bilthouse (Robert) of Odessa, Fla., Susan K. Jordan (Lamoine) of Marlboro and Daniel O. Knowles (Joanna S.) of Topsham. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
