He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Merton and LaRita Mae Tapley (Tainter); and his siblings, Teddy Tapley and Bessy Gray. He is survived by: his wife Beverly A. Pettegrow; his son Wyman Tapley; his grandchildren, Sierra Tapley, Bodie Tapley and Tia Tapley; and his sisters, Alice Pettegrow (Malcom), Dinah Spurling (Loren) and Rowena Turner (Raymond). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
