He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Christian and Martha Augusta Benson; his significant other Judith "Judy" Porter Benson; his son William Henry Benson (Traci Benson); his great grandchildren, Jacob and McKenna Henderson; his daughter Christina Ann Benson; his sister Audrey Bentz; and his cousins, Scott Benson, Monica Benson, Sonia Perugini, Michael Bentz, Jolene Neal, George Bentz, Jennifer Klotz, Arthur Gilkes, John Gilkes, Laura Strassguetl, Richard Strassguetl, Christopher Liu and Katie Fullan.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial gifts in Ron's honor to the Mount Desert Nursing Association, Seal Cove Auto Museum, or Maine Coast Heritage Trust.
