It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Jewett Fernald (Mount Desert, Maine), who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Fernald and Norma J. Fernald (Crosby). He is survived by: his wife Carroll; his children, Jay Fernald (Casey) and Stephanie Goodrich (Jack); his stepchildren, Andrew Boyd, Martha Masiello (Matt) and Susan Allen (Andy); and his grandchildren, Zach, Josh Buzzell, Alex, Anna, Ava Fernald, Jack, Dylan, Cole Masiello, Lily and Violet Allen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home (1139 Main St, Mt Desert, ME 04660). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sea Episcopal Church (35 S Shore Rd, Northeast Harbor, ME 04662).
