Christopher Leeroy Andrews Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher L. Andrews (York, Maine), who passed away on July 1, 2019. He was 42 years old, and was born on October 3rd, 1976.
Chris was somewhat of a solitary individual, but beneath his quiet exterior was an incredibly generous and thoughtful man. No matter what the circumstances were, he always made sure that his family had what they needed - and wanted.
Whenever one of his children brought up one of their hobbies, he always provided them with the tools that they needed to partake in said hobby, regardless of the cost. He put his children’s happiness first, no matter what.
It’s without a doubt that he frequently pushed them to do their best, whether it was in regards to school, work, or sports didn’t matter. He wanted them to thrive within their environments and achieve great things while doing so.
It is without a doubt that he was proud of them.
Chris was a great cook. With a profound knack for trying different cooking techniques, he always put something delicious on the table. However, when you would ask him for the recipe, he’d say, “I just eyeball it.”
Chris also loved sports. The New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Bruins were his favorite teams, and he would watch their games with his children whenever possible. He was a tad superstitious, too - he wouldn’t want anybody wearing team colors because he thought it’d jinx a potential win!
When he wasn’t working, cooking, or cleaning, he loved to take pleasure in small things. He liked to identify the birds that landed on the bird feeder, try new restaurants, garden, fish, and take his children on boat rides during the summer.
He may have seemed like a jerk to some. But deep down, many knew him as a sensitive soul who was just trying to provide for his family amidst the stress and strain of his mental health issues.
Unfortunately, his depression and anxiety got the better of him, and caused him to take his own life.
His children (Lily, Rose, Owen, Bodie), ex-wife (Pauline), widow (Tammy), and mother (Eleanor) will remember him fondly.
Hopefully he has reunited with his late father in the great unknown.

Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family. Memorial donations may be made to Johnsons Funeral Home towards funeral expenses.
In addition, please pay attention to the mental health of your peers. You may never know if they need assistance.

“Oh Chris, thank you for the endless laughs at work. And the countless amount of life lessons you helped me with. I still remember you telling me how I was One of your daughters twins and I didn’t believe you at first but you proved your point. To the family: he was one of the best parts of coming into work. Someone you could always trust to have your back and keep your spirits up. He always talked about you guys and how much he loved you. Sending lots of hugs your way.”
