He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Bell and Margaret Dozier Bell. He is survived by: his wife Mimi of Norway, Maine; his son John Bell; his daughter-in-law Tami Bell of Banner Elk, NC; his granddaughters, Emily Bell of Chapel Hill, NC and Natalie Bell; his grandson-in-law Grant Swanner of Dallas, TX; his sister Sherry Bubar (Bell); his brothers-in-law, Gene Bubar (Dozier Bell) of Brunswick and Ken Greenleaf of Waldoboro, Maine; his brother John Bell; and his sister-in-law Donna Bell of Waterford, Maine. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Paris Public Library, 37 Market Square South Paris, ME 04281, in memory of Steve's lifelong passion of reading and community.
