He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip E. Putnam and Vivian G. Putnam (Adams); his wife Judith Putnam (Varney); his siblings, Evelyn J. Putnam, Virginia L. Putnam, Eugene L. Putnam, Leigh E. Putnam and Keith E. Putnam; and his pet Lightening.
He is survived by: his sons, William Putnam (Christina) of Eliot and Keith Joseph Putnam of Oakfield; his granddaughters, Lilah Putnam and Madeleine Putnam; and his siblings, Pamela P. Kenney of Florida, Cheryl P. Dow of Florida, Marvin S. Putnam of Scarborough, Vaughn G. Putnam of Houlton and Murray W. Putnam of Oakfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
