He was predeceased by : his parents, Augusta J. Myers and Josephine Nash Myers; his former life partner Virginia Pease; his wife Priscilla Verge; his siblings, Robert, George Myers, Naomi Ashford and Donna Forsyth; and his stepgrandson Heath Barrett.

He is survived by : his son Philip E. 'Sonny Myers, Jr. (Raeberta); his brother-in-law Arthur Pease, Jr. (Marie); his stepchildren, Vicki Barrett (Robert), Sheryl Sutherland and David Verge (Sandy); and his stepgrandchildren, Tracy Street, Scott Mayer, Jenny Barrett-Hibl, Alex Verge and Jamie Sutherland. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
