It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frances Wade of Orono, Maine, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 10, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Col. Leslie H. Leighton and Frances Leighton (Hackett); her husband Dr. Edward A. Wade; and her brother Robert. She is survived by : her children, Denise Butler (Kern) of Plymouth, Lisa Stuart (Scott) of Arrowsic, Leslie Wade (Linda) of Englewood, Heidi Letalien (Roger) of Londonderry, NH and Kimberly Stevenson (Jan) of Amherst; and her niece Kathryn Stein. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Harvest Hill Animal Shelter in Bridgton, where Fran and Ed's last loved animal, TJ, was adopted, would be greatly appreciated.
