He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart E. and Mary E. Butterfield (Coursey); and his son-in-law Charles Richard Clapp II. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his children, Sarah Butterfield Clapp of Hamilton, Massachusetts, Jason Butterfield (Brandi) of Brewer, Maine and Scott Butterfield (Marie) of Southborough, Massachusetts; and his grandchildren, Charlie, Emma, Benjamin, Madeline and Juliet.
