He was predeceased by: his father Howard of Sharon, MA.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Nodiff; his pet Bogie; his mother Lillian Levine; his siblings, Gary Levine and Amy Schlegel (Michael); his nieces and nephews, Sara Rockett (Zack), Samantha Sikula (Joe), Haley Drinkwater (David), Camaron Schlegel and Adrianna Brethauer (Abel); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ally and Ezra Rockett; his sister Shari; his brother-in-law Rick Weinstein; and his nieces, Alana and Naomi.

He was part of a 10–12-person weekly zoom session that began during the pandemic and that he continued to dial into even from his hospital bed.
