She is survived by: her daughter Edith Cherkis; her significant other Ronald Rolls; her grandchildren, Cyra, Ryan, Elijah and Jaid; and her nieces and nephews, Terry, Nita, Mike and Andy. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

She knit winter hats for many years for a children's charity that donated winter clothes for kids in need.
