Josh Gregoire wrote a sympathy message

“To the family of Phil Smith, I have been fortunate to work with Phil in his painting career for about twenty years. Over those years we completed many challenging projects together. Phil always wanted to do what he could and was always looking out for the best interest of the project. Always seemed surprised about how much paint things took and shared a sense of pride in getting things complete. As honest as the day is long and one I will truly miss. My sympathies to you all. Josh Gregoire”
