She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wood and Dorothy Wood (Choate); her siblings, Harry Wood (Mildred), Allen Wood and Rachel Sheaff (Elmer); her nephew Gary Sheaff; and her niece Gail Horak.
She is survived by: her husband John W. Scates; her children, Kerry Scates (Deborah), Rudy Scates, Linda Vigue (Tom) and Dennis Scates (Tracy); her grandchildren, Derek Scates (Liz), Jennie Williams (Steve), Andrew Scates (Renee), Sarah Finley (Steven), Brian Vigue, Cassie Flood (Andrew) and Shyler Scates (Grace Ann); her great grandchildren, Katherine Williams, Steven Williams, Victoria Williams, Remi Finley, Finley Scates, Sawyer Scates and Maxwell Flood; and her sister-in-law Gloria Wood.
