She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Benson and Aili Benson; her siblings, Renne, Abner and Marcia; and her daughter-in-law Sharon Salo Strout.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Thurston and Loring Strout Jr.; her husband Alton; her sister Maurise; her granddaughters, Candice, Kristina, Rachael, Rebecca and Laura; her niece Tamara; her nephews, Tobin and Jeffrey; and her pet Kirby. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
