He was predeceased by: his parents, Enid Lumbert and Patrick McDermott; and his wife Judy of Kingston. He is survived by: his daughter Sethany Roberts (Dale) of Saco; his grandchildren, Nathan Roberts of Waterboro, Maine, Matthew Roberts of Waterboro, Maine and Shawn McDermott (Lisa); his great grandchildren, Amanda McDermott of Gorham and Daniel McDermott of Franklin, Tennessee; his grandchild Kelly McDermott of Waldoboro; and his great grandchildren, William Gillespie III of Montville, Meagan Miller of Washington and Zachary Gillespie of Bucksport. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (15 Cleveland St, Saco, ME 04072). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Eustis Cemetery.
