He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett E. Merrill and Laura Merrill (Carter). He is survived by: his pet Larry; his siblings, Linda Kalish (Ed) and Ray Merrill; his nephew John Elias (Leah); his niece Joy Cassidy (Andrew); and his great-nephews, Brandon, Roman and Tucker Cassidy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brookings-Smith (133 Center St, Bangor, ME 04401). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith (163 Center St, Bangor, ME 04401). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Hillside Cemetery. The second, to Rachel, lasted a little over 35 years until she died with COVID in 2021.
