He was predeceased by: his parents, Italian and Filomena Viola (Rossini); and his siblings, Thomasina Reynolds, Mary Mayberry, Santino, Benedetto, Constantino, Gaetano, Pasquale and Saverio.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Carole DuPerre (Paul) of Portland, Barbara O'Connor (Dennis) of New Jersey, Anthony Jr. (Suzanne), John (Sharon) of Brunswick, Robert (Peggy) of Scarborough and James (Jennifer) of Kennebunkport; his grandchildren, Stephen, Michael DuPerre, Dennis, Robert O'Connor, Anthony, Alex, Joseph, Gregory, Katelyn, Sarah, Shannon and Emily Viola; his great grandchildren, Finn, Paige O'Connor, Logan and Landon DuPerre; and his brother Philip of South Portland.
