With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara McFarland of Portland, Maine, born in Lewiston, Maine, who passed away on August 16, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gerald Keene and Gladys Keene (Hall); her husband Hugh McFarland; her brother Gerald Hall Keene (Dolores); her nieces, Rebecca Keene of Auburn, Debbie Lalemand (Russell) of Leeds and Penny Arnold (Jay) of Port St; her nephew Ronald Keene (Kim); and her siblings-in-law, John McFarland (Joan) of New Glasgow, Paul McFarland (Sara) of Springfield, VA, Ruth Neary of Torrington, CT and Jean Small (Peter) of South Portland. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Barbara's name may be made to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.
