Bridget H. (Joyce) Malia Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bridget H. (Joyce) Malia of Portland, Maine, who passed away on December 21, 2021 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Irish Duffy and Delia Duffy; her husband Peter M. Malia; her sister Mary Griffin; her brother-in-law John Griffin; her nephew Martin Griffin; her brother Martin "Beano" Joyce; her sister-in-law Helen Joyce (Hayden); her sister Margaret Concannon; and her siblings-in-law, Martin "Mert" Concannon and Faye Joyce (McCormick).

She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce Malia (Chester) of Saratoga, CA and Jeanne Malia of Portland; her grandchildren, Amie O'Toole (Tommy) of Redwood City, CA and Peter Thuener (Shana) of San Diego, CA; her great grandchildren, Kate, Martin (Ollie), Tommy O'Toole and Jackson Thuener; her siblings, Katherine Joyce of Portland and John Joyce of South Portland; her nephew John Griffin (Laureta); her nieces, Kathy Twombly (David), Lisa Gale (John) and Regina Joyce; and her cousin Ireland.
