He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Nielson and Verna Nielson; and his son David Jr.. He is survived by: his pets, Magnum, Bardo, Annabell and Ryker; his wife Paula Nielson (Lerman); his children, Steven Nielson (Denise), Kimberly Proya and Mark Nielson; his daughter-in-law Ann Marie Nielson; and his brother Harold Doe (Diane Fujii-Doe). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, a nephew and many friends.
