He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret Ann and Olivia Marie; his close friends, John and Karen Perron; his wife Michele Marie DiPietro; his children, David Joseph and Madison Connelly of Westbrook; his niece Danietta Thompson (Jacob) of Morrill; his aunt Mona Peters of Lebanon; his cousin Lee Peters of Sanbornville; his aunt Linda Carson of South Portland; his mother-in-law Eleanor DiPietro; his sisters-in-law, Laurie Anne DiPietro of Portland, Mary Ellen Bowring (Chris) of South Portland and Christine Cram (Russell) of Buxton; his nephew Spencer Bowring of South Portland; his nieces, Ashely Plante (Dustin) of Hollis, Katelyn Cram (Dave Bloomgren) of Dayton and Mackenzie Bowring of South Portland; his great-nieces, Ellie Grace Plante and Sophie Mae Plante of Hollis; Colby, Kaylee and Jaxson.
In March of 2020, when the pandemic hit, due to health issues, David had to stop working at Fournier's Leadership Karate, where he transported kids from local schools and brought them to class.
