She was predeceased by: her parents, Schuyler S. Sampson and Alice Mansur Sampson; and her brother-in-law Jeffrey Armstrong. She is survived by: her husband John Van Hoewyk; her siblings, Schuyler S. Sampson, Jr. (Patricia), Patience Sampson (Robert) and Priscilla Armstrong; and her nieces, Sharon, Samantha, Caroline, Juanita, Janetta, Katherine, Tabor and Schuyler.
