It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Governor Joseph E. Brennan (Portland, Maine), who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brennan and Catherine Mulkerrin Brennan; his siblings, Mary, Kathleen, John, Francis, Jimmy and Paul; and his brother-in-law Dr. Donald Toker.
He is survived by: his son J. B. Brennan; his family, Davey Redmond, Gerry Conley, Eddie Kelleher, Severin McCarthy Beliveau, Tom LaPointe, Frank O'Hara, Peter Danton, Ida Tevanian, Billy Troubh, Jerry Petrucelli, Janet Mills, Arthur Stilphen, Harold Pachios and Mike Petit; his wife Connie L. Brennan; his daughter Tara Brennan (Carles Farre); his grandsons, Xavier Farre-Brennan, Lluc Farre-Brennan and Marti Farre-Regincos; and his siblings-in-law, Merrye Lynn Brennan, Christine Bartlett (Don), Mark LaPointe (Diane), Thomas LaPointe (Jan) and John LaPointe. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
