It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Eva Major in Portland, Maine, who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Don Chamberlin Sr. and Edna Lank Chamberlin; her husband John Major of Portland; and her siblings, Don Jr., Louise, Ted and Edna.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Lorello (Stephen), Michael and Tom (Jennifer); and her grandchildren, Stephen Lorello (Ric), Andrew Lorello (Donna), Sarah Sullivan (Richard), Daniel Major (Kelly), Nathan Major (Julia) and Noah Major (Alexandra). She is also survived by seven great-grandsons, countless nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
