It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan McFarland of Portland, Maine, who passed away on November 15, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Anna Rega Paolino and Thomas Michael Paolino; her brother Michael Paolino (Evelyn Paolino); and her mother-in-law Phyllis Raplee. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" McFarland; her sister Grace Paolino; her daughters, Maria Locke (John) and Denise Kaserman (Kevin); her grandchildren, Chelsea, Jon, Anna Decker (Chad), Julia, Kyle and JoJo; her great grandchildren, Lola and Darby; and her daughter Joann. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.

In Lieu of Flowers please bring or have delivered an unwrapped toy/gift for ages 1 day - 17 years old to put under the Christmas Tree at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Ave. Portland, ME 04102. Donations will be delivered to local charity to brighten child's Christmas.
