Though Joan Wakefield may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan Wakefield touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Colin Wakefield and Mona Wakefield; her husband Lou Moore; and her brother Sargent Wakefield. She is survived by: her sister Polly Simmons of Elyria, Ohio; and her daughters, Paula Laverty of South Portland and Katherine Maxsimic of Portland. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great - grandchildren.
