It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Hewitt (Portland, Maine), who passed away on May 10, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Geraldine; his parents, Colin Ernest and Florence Anning Hewitt; and his sisters, Audrey Griffin and Pauline Robinson.
He is survived by: his former wife Geraldine Gass; his wife Muriel Russell; his children, Kathy Williamson of Waltham, MA, Jonathan (Kate Hewitt) of Cape Elizabeth and Holly Hewitt of Cape Elizabeth; and his grandchildren, Lucy, Forest, Anne, Sierra, Claire, Quinn, Sarah, Nicholas and Dylan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of Flowers, the family has asked for donations in John's name be sent to: AlcoholicsAnonymous.
