He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Barnes and Dolly Barnes (Jenkins). He is survived by: his daughter Jennie; his brothers, Danny F. Barnes of Portland and Larry G. Barnes (Barbara) of Cleves, Ohio; and his caregiver Sarah Crouse (Ronnie) of Fort Fairfield. He is also survived by two nieces and many extended family.
