It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Thayer Rand of Portland, Maine, who passed away on April 2, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Richard L. Thayer, Jr.; and her brother Richard "Sonny" Thayer, III. She is survived by: her mother Shirley Thayer Fawcett; her husband Mark H. Rand; her sister Queenie Thayer; her nephews, Sammy Thayer and Mark Hurley; her uncle Jeff Thayer; her sisters-in-law, Julie Rand and Gale McGee; her stepchildren, Gretchen, Mark, Stephanie, Katie, Zack and Luke; her grandchildren, Addie, Celia, Bodhi, Jake, Valerie, Athena, Torin, Helen, Finn, Beckett, Maggie, Sadie, Chloe, Nolan and Daphne; her friend Queenie; Simone. She is also survived by the love of her life and her loving family, her mother.
