In the sacred silence of farewell, Richard is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Richard's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Purington and Velda Purington (Trafton); his siblings, Frank and Elizabeth; and his wife Deanna (Webber).
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Purington of Harpswell and Kim Baldwin (Tom) of Brunswick; his granddaughters, Ashleigh St. Pierre (Jereme Gray) and Adrian Morneau (Jared); his great grandchild Sawyer; and his brother John Purington of Anchorage.
To commemorate his memory, family requests (in lieu of flowers/cards) contributions in his name be made to Cundy's Harbor Fire and Rescue, whose heroes who tirelessly help the Harpswell Community.
