He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Serappa and Angelina DiCandia Serappa; his wife Ruth "Mickey" Serappa; his stepfather Keith Walker; and his uncle Michael DiCandia.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Serappa, Kathleen Sandora (Greg) and Samuel Serappa Jr. (Theresa); his grandchildren, Hillary, Francis, Sean, Emily Bachelder, Casie Dalia, Canon Sandora, Livia and Nicholas Serappa; his sister Marie Cate; his great grandchildren, Abigail, Jacoby, Bronson, Francis, Danielle, Giana, X'xavier, Maddie, Lyla and Caleb; and his pet Charlie.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter's Church (72 Federal St, Portland, ME 04101). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Portland Eagles (184 Saint John St. 32084).
