She was predeceased by: her siblings, Carroll Lord Sr. and Muriel Lachance (Burbank). She is survived by: her husband Benjamin Franklin Simpson Jr.; her cousin Eleanor; her children, Jeffrey (Priscilla) of North Berwick, Karen Peterson (Ralph) of Chelsea and Beth Simpson-Robie (Glenn) of Kennebunk; her grandchildren, Daniel Simpson, Emily Underwood (Justin), Steven Simpson, Laura Gervais (Brandon), Kelley Zrioka (Oliver), Carlton Robie, Anna Peterson and Forrest Robie; her great grandchildren, Lyle Simpson, Josephine, Caroline, William Underwood, Everett, Anderson Gervais, Hattie and Margo Zrioka; her cousin Lynne Simpson Smith; and her sister-in-law Joan Lord. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and their spouses, children, and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions will be graciously received for the Alfred Village Museum. Checks should be made payable to the Town of Alfred and marked as a donation in Thelma's memory to the Alfred Village Museum.
