He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Vail Sr. and Freda Edith Nelson; and his grandson Anthony Michael Vail. He is survived by: his children, Michael, Peter, Paul and Lisa; his wife Carole; his brother Jimmy; his nephews, Mike Vail (Andrea) of Cumberland Foreside, Peter Vail (Diane) of Concord, NH and Paul Vail (Kathleen) of Windham; his niece Lisa Lekousi (George) of Windham; and his grandchildren, Christina Vail, Maria Vail, Leah Fryer (Jack), Sarah Fedler (Adam), Matthew Vail, Christopher Lekousi, Thomas Lekousi, Hunter Vail and Conner Vail.
