He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Franklin and Angeline Edith Hawksley Barnes; and his siblings, Rowena Rogerson (Mort), Gerald Barnes, Leonal Barnes, Donald Barnes, Milton Barnes, Earl Barnes and Raymond Barnes.

He is survived by : his wife Gloria Barnes (Flemming) of Presque Isle; his daughters, Cynthia Marquis (Kevin) of Easton and Susan Chandler (Steven) of Presque Isle; his grandchildren, Sarah Marquis (Robert Sines) of Easton, Brandon Marquis (Rachel) of Easton, Emily Chandler of Presque Isle and Adam Chandler of South Dakota; and his great grandchildren, Alexis Pelkey, Benjamin Pelkey, Lilah Pelkey and Isaac Sines. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren, fishing, and family.
