He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Hawksley and Allen Fletcher of Mars Hill; his son Gary Fletcher Jr. of Bonville, Vermont; and his siblings, Danny Fletcher (Doris) of Veazie and Dana Fletcher (Joyce) of Mars Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene McKee Fletcher; his daughter Cynthia Fletcher (Eric Albee) of Portage Lake, Maine; his sister Linda Flewelling (Erwin) of Mars Hill; his grandchildren, Kristen Gray (Chad) of Hampstead and Chad Bagley (Brandy) of Ellington, Connecticut; and his great grandchildren, Samantha Bagley, Kennedy Gray, Nicholas Bagley and Liam Gray. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He played with the local band Country Five during the 1960s and 1970s and later continued sharing his love of music by playing at local eateries, nursing homes, and charity events across the county.
