She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Lynn and O. K. Lynn; and her husband Jerry Carey. She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Kathryn Combs Carlson, Nancy Lynn Mason and Jerry Lynn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
