Peter Dunn Sawyer Obituary

We announce the death of Peter Dunn Sawyer (Presque Isle, Maine), who passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 90. Peter will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father George C. "Pete" Sawyer; his stepmother Irene Sawyer; his siblings, George Sawyer, Jr. and Laura Pike; and his stepbrothers, Peter and Don Rand.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Sawyer; his daughter Elizabeth Sawyer; his stepchildren, Lisa Porter, Crystal Cates Michalka and Jonathan Cates; his sisters, Betsy Maker and Nancy Sawyer; and his stepsiblings, Dr. Janice Webster, Barbara Breckenridge, Susan Webber and Ted Rand.
