With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anna Carney (Rockland, Maine), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Anna may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Malcolm James Carney; and her daughter Elizabeth Simms. She is survived by: her sons, James Carney (Ruth) and Craig Carney (Linda); her son-in-law Jeffery Simms; and her granddaughter Mallory. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard's Catholic Church (150 Broadway, Rockland, ME 04841).
