He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Joseph and Margaret Quigley Maher of Flatrock; his wife Anne Judith Maher (Orosz); and his siblings, Douglas Maher, Joseph Maher, Katherine Scroggin, Stanislaus Maher, Patsy Maher and John Maher.
He is survived by: his children, Peter Maher of Falmouth, Mass., Patrick Maher of Hope, Jennifer Maher Steele (Greg) of New York, Susannah Maher of Rockland and Julia Maher (Clovis Anjard) of Owl's Head; his grandchild Rhiannon Maher of Mashpee, Mass.; his children, Savannah Peters (Loring Schaible) of Edgewood, N. M., Ryan, Trevor, Callum Steele of New York and Anne Anjard Maher of Owl's Head; and his great grandchild Micah Peters Schaible of Edgewood, N. M.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
