It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Low (Rockland, Maine), who passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Almon Carter and Grace Staples Carter; her sons, Donald S. Carter and Karl W. Low; her son-in-law Barry G. Pitcher; and her grandson Kenneth Clayton'KC'Carter.
She is survived by: her son Stanley Low (Susan) of Lincolnville; her daughters-in-law, Joyce Pitcher of Washington and Jean Benjamin (Paul) of Rockland; her brother Freeman Carter (Bette) of Hope; and her grandchildren, Scott Sukeforth (Lori), Debbie Richards (Ray), Pam Heal (Alan), Terri Sukeforth, Stephen Sukeforth, Ryan Low (Missy), David Low (Hilary), Darrin Low and Jakob Low (Charlotte). She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Achorn Cemetery (480 Old County Rd, Rockland, ME 04841).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church, One Waldo Avenue, Rockland, ME 04841.
