It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Wade (Rockland, Maine), who passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Wade to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Sims and Doris Gowdy Sims; her husband Robert Wade; and her brother Roger W. Sims. She is survived by: her children, Thomas Wade (Theresa) of Rockport, Rosemarie Harter of Rockport, Molly Connor (Robert) of Rockwell, NC, Lorraine Robertson (Rusty) of Eddington, ME, William Wade (Sandra) of Bedford, NH, Emily House (Dana) of Somerville, ME, Daniel Wade (Portia) of Bozrah, CT and Andrew Wade (Zoey) of Wuhan, China; and her brother David Smis (Wilma) of Carriere, MS. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home (110 Limerock St, Rockland, ME 04841). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
